On August 23, 2020, at the 44th National Convention, the national body voted in favor to officially grant the mothers of the Magnificent Mile Provisional Group new status as the Magnificent Mile Provisional Chapter. Two months later, the Magnificent Mile Chapter was chartered on October 17th at the Westin Chicago Lombard, installing the following officers: President Kia R. Banks Vice President Myesha B. Andrea Clark-Horton Historian Michelle Flagg Sergeant at Arms Iona A. Calhoun-Battiste
National Treasurer Nadine J. Gibson served as the Installing Officer, with Past National President Alice Leigh Peoples providing the history of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.Mid-Western Regional Officers also present for the Installation Ceremony: Regional Director Tanya Watson, Regional Secretary Cynthia Miree-Coppin and Regional Member At Large Marvis Donalson. In the heart of the pandemic, moms participated in-person or virtually, formally committing themselves to making an impact on the lives of their children and other African-American children in Chicago.
